I'm trying to go on it this week . My brother has been on it and it works great and helps with weight loss . I was supposed to start last week but my dr canceled the appt so I will let you know how it works out . I'm sure that most Ins companys are going to pay for it cause it's to help with the sugar so they go hand and hand .

My mom is a RN and her doctor priscribes it for weight loss she said it is a weight loss pill made for people with insulin resistance and I am going to try it after my son is born because I unfortunatley have developed diabetes.

I tried byetta for weight loss and it did not do anything for me. Plus I got tired of all the injections. I have never heard of anyone being treated with it for pcos.

I went to the Dr's today and Byetta is not going to work for anyone who is trying to conceive , the dr told me today that they have not done studies on it so they will not start anyone on it , he told me that if i wanted to go on it then i had t go on birth control .

I just started taking it 3 days ago, for pre-diabetes, insulin resistance and PCOS. Its too soon to tell if it's working.

Oh...I'm not taking it to ovulate and get pregnant... just wanted to clarify.
I am not using this as a fertility med. I don't think it's approved to treat infeftlity from PCOS, like Metformin is used for.
