my dad appologized for all the abuse he'll admit to, and admitted to some stuff he hadn't before and appologized for it. it was just the two of us, he made time for me. that's unusual in itself. he doesn't like to talk, much less about his feelings. he seemed to mean it. i feel almost like i'm in a trance- dream like. he's never appologized before. he even appologized for not protecting me from my mom's abusive behaviors. it's just all so... weird and out of the blue. it's huge improvement. if it's real. i mean, it felt real. but... i just don't know.

Hard to trust, but take it at face value. It must have cost him a lot to admit and say these things. Good - he did it. Accept it and let it bring you peace.
