Last week I recommended "Why does he do that ?Inside the mind of angry & controlling men". I finished it and I must say it was an eye opener. EVERY PERSON who has ever suffered from abusive men /partners, needs to read this . I could not put it down from the moment my therapist gave it to me. I have my friends at DS reading it and my family members so they can feel and see what my son and I endured for years. A MUST !!!!! WHat a wonderful author "lundy Bancroft". This book changes everything!! Lundy has worked with over 2000 abusers, heard all their lines, and chaired one of the national abuse centers. His insight is incredible.
For the first time, you get to really understand what's going on - rather than feeding off the lies that the abusers have created in the home and society.

Another book I have found to be tremendously helpful is Encouragements for the emotionally abused woman by Beverly Engel. (I got mine used on Amazon.com for really cheap!)
