Yes, this is a classic. Maybe it deserves 5 starts, but that depends how you look at it. Her information will set you straight about what is abuse. Fantastic!
It is a book in the genre of Bancroft in "Why Does He Do That?" but which I would give 5 stars as he is a therapist and so has a deeper understanding of some things. Evans is NOT a therapist. For the next step in your attempts to deal with abuse, I suggest you go to the books of a therapist AND abuse expert like Beverly Engel (see Amazon.com). But maybe I should have given her 5 stars. This book has helped a lot of people so much, myself included.
