I've lived with abuse all my life. I learned better. I know i want to better myself. I know i need to get out.
The hard part is the time it takes. I've been back home for months. I hardly have any money in the bank. Student loans and car payments. I owe my abuser money. She controls me with this fear and debt. I can not afford to leave. and she knows it. i am stuck. the hard part....is saving alil $ each month so that maybe...in a few yrs i'll get out. the hard part...is knowing everytime.... that she is wrong. that she is abusing her power. knowing i am angry for a good reason...and swallowing it. knowing i am stuck here for yrs to come. i'm running out of energy. running out of hope. Don't quit seeing that light at the end of the tunnel! You owe it to yourself to keep on moving forward. Things could always be worse. Just keep your chin up and you'll be out of there before you know it.

Yeah, put all your energy into planning and saving for your departure. It may not be as far away as you think, you never know what is around the corner.
I know its not easy but try to consentrate on the here now, not how long it is ging to be before you are out of it. xxx

that is tough! ive been there, but it was a matter of life or death for me and I finally left. At the time I was 95% mindless. REALLY. At the time I would have rather been homeless than be killed or end up doing something I would go to jail for. That was the turning point for me.
