went to a wedding, told them i was vegetarian because they had no clue what pku was. the food sucked ! one of the meals was peas & masshed potato while every one else had peas, mash potato, rice, meat with sause. they get a 0 for effort!Does any one else think that not many places cater for vegiterians?

i just don't ever eat out...no one ever has anything you can eat. Nobody knows what PKU is unless you have it then come the awkward ness of having to try to explain it. How hard woulo it be to provide fruits and veggies... not all of us can be carnivors

We almost never eat out. I cook for Josh at home. But I do know that when Josh hangs out with friends or goes to his all day paint ball games he comes home so hungery.. There is never anything he can eat.

I rarely have a problem eating out. I have classical PKU and usually order a salad or a side of fries and only eat a few. If I'm out to dinner, usually I save room during the day so I can order pasta and eat like a quarter of it. It depends on the portions and your specific diet, but its a rarity that I CAN'T make it work.
