I have continuous tremors ranging from mild to moderately severe. Is there medication to alleviate the tremors? I am an emergency medical technician and this disorder is interfering with my work. My tremors have been diagnosed as one of the symptoms of my untreated PKU

" hi , Just wondering, are you on the diet?? I have late-diagnosed PKU too( diagnosed at age 8 yrs) never was on the diet until 2004( I was 44) I also had tremors, they were usually mild, I also had alll sorts of other complications and am now on disability because of these things. The diet completely illiminated my tremors and had a huge effect on some of the other stuff. The problem is that once I had all these pku issues the long term effects were irreversible. I know it's a pain in the butt and super expensive but I'd get back on diet ASAP. I was never on the diet because of my age when I was diagnosed and I've paid the price for it( they didn't put me on it) FYI I'm not a kid, as my username would suggest, I'm 47. I'd love to become your friend, e-mail me "

" Hi pkukid, No-I'm not on the diet now-I'm considering it-I might not be able to afford the formula or special foods however. I'll let you know what I end up doing. Thanks for your response-and I, too, would like to be e-mail friends with you. "
