Vet appointment on Wednesday

Please say a prayer for my little Boxer Zoe. She has a vet appointment on Wednesday and I am afraid we are going to have to make the decision to put her down.

The vet diagnosed her with epilepsy back in December, but I think she has all of the symptoms of a brain tumor. I don't believe my vet has a lot of experience with brain tumors and they have just been scratching their heads as to what is wrong with her. She has lost her desire to eat and has lost about 20 lbs. over the last month.

She is like a child to me and it is so sad to see her in the condition she is in. Please send a little prayer her way.

Thanks.

" Thank you for your prayers. I was able to get a little baby food down her last night. It took her about 30 minutes to get a small jar of baby food down, but at least it was something.

I am thinking about taking her to see a neurologist, but I am not feeling very positive about it. I can see that she has something going on with her head. She is walking like she is drunk and just goes in circles.

I am thinking about taking the day off of work tomorrow. It isn't like I am any good there anyway when all I will be thinking about is my little girl. I will let you all know how it goes.

Take care. "

" I am sad to report that we had to put our little Zoe down. We just got back from the emergency vet.

She began having a hard time breathing and started losing her bodily functions. She stood up and began moaning and we knew it was time to put her out of her mental and physical pain.

We thought about seeing if the emergency vet could give her some kind of pain medication until tomorrow when she could see her regular vet, but he gave me the answer I was looking for all along. He confirmed my fear that Zoe had a brain tumor and he said that in his professional opinion, even if we went through all of the testing and surgery, she would never be the dog that she once was.

She pretty much made the decision for us when she began moaning. This little girl was the strongest little thing in the world and has only moaned once in her life when she tore a nail. It was nowhere near the sounds that she was making tonight. She was ready and I didn't want her to have to experience one more ounce of pain.

Rest in peace little Zoe. I will see you again one day. "
