I was diagnosed with BPD about ten years or so ago. I went through years of being in and out of hospitals, self harm, ect. I went through dbt and seem to have started to grow and learn to live with it without it ruling my life. Now within the last week the anxiety attacks are coming at me like they haven't in years and I slip into dissociative spells without warning. I know about grounding and all kind of ways to cope but it seems to come on to me without warning and my brain is like frozen. I don't know what to do with the whole mess anymore, It just freaks me out alittle

" My experience is a little different. In the past I had other issues but the panic attacks were the only ones recognized at the time. Things were very difficult in every area. I read a book that panic attacks can go away and then return years later. That is what happened they returned about seven yrs. later.
This time after losing my job I went to a pdoc. and discovered all of the other disorder symptoms. I haven't gone through therapy yet, but since you have-practice some of those techniques again and maybe it will be another passing phase.
This is going to sound crazy, but one way I manage my anxiety attacks is remembering that I'm a self abuser. If I have a painful axiety attack, I remember I am into pain and get into it and it passes quicker. "
