Has anyone heard someone speak and in the same sentence hear a different word than the person is saying. It is hard to explain, it is like someone saying “Do you like going to the movies”, and hear “Do you lock goto the movies” Something like that but all the time, I have to compensate what they are saying almost every sentence. Does anyone know what this is and know how to fix it.

I get that constantly. dont know what causes it or how to repair it... I always just put it down to bad hearing...?

maybe its because ur head is elsewhere, which makes it hard to concerntrate on what the person is saying ... so you only head dribs and drabs of it. i find myself i dream worlds alot of the time and only hear what i want to hear, too in my own world to understand what others are saying to me.

I have that problem too. I think that I am very selective in what i hear and what I don't hear I fill it in myself. Usually, I am off in my own little universe when people are talking to me, so thats probably the cause for me.
