" i got started onlexapro. they seem to be doing the trick. my highs and lows arent peaks and valleys anymore. i dont slam up and down. i can feel them coming and i am able to put coping skills in place and not be overwhelmed. instead mountains. i have more gentle slopes to work with. "

" It took me years to get the right med combo. Some worked for awhile but wore off and had to be tweaked. It's a constant struggle to get and keep the right cocktail. Right now I am on Wellbutrin, Abilify, Prozac, and Topamax. I have BP and BPD. I feel pretty stable with the BP right now though I still have crying spells but my BPD is in full force because I need DBT - they don't offer it where I live so I ordered a book about it. Topamax helps with some of the irrational thoughts but I need therapy too. Meds alone won't fix me. "

" im on a mood stabalizer 'sodium valperate' and matazapine which is an anti depressant. they make me eat far too much, so have put on alot of weight *Which makes me feel more depressed* as i worked hard to keep my weight where i liked it. i sleep too on them. It does take time to find the right medication, because sometimes no tablets with help with some BPDs as its more a behave problem. But others they work wonders for ... also trial and error, just stick with it hun! good luck :) "
