Hey everyone!!! I've been dealing with my ulcer off and on since I was young. Recently my ulcer has gotten worse and I would like to eliminate my ulcer problem once and for all. I've been to the doctor but my doctor hasn't really helped me at all. Now I'm looking for home remedies for treating ulcers. Does anyone have any suggestions on that? Also can someone tell me what foods are good to eat for ulcers and also what foods to avoid? I read somewhere that cabbage juice is good for treating ulcers? Can you get cabbage juice in a health food store or how do you get cabbage juice?

" Stay away fromacidic and spicey foods. They say bread, rice, and pasta (called the BRAT diet, I think) is good for you. Take a medicine that stops acid from building up in your stomach (Prilosec, Nexium, Pepcid, and ect.) AVOID STRESS (haha I know)keep yourself comfy and try to avoid stress, as stress can affect your ulcer. I hope this works! "

" Get an H.Pylori test to see if that is the cause of your ulcer. That bacteria cuases better than 80% of all ulcers. Many doctors from the old school are not aggressively treating ulcers so you ight have to insist. If you are H. Pylori positive, then there is a high liklihood it can be cured with triple anti-bioitic therapy. These drugs are expensive so many isurance companie may balk at it but be persistent and insist on trying it. It will take three weeks of taking these drugs but they work most of the time. I kills me to see so many people suffering with ulcers who don't have to. They are curable!!! "

" I would try juicing cabbage in my juicer. Naturally brewed saurkraut might be good. Might just be an add, butFound this online about acidosis:

Having too much acid in the body (called acidosis) causesor contributes to a whole range of medical problemsincluding: - Cardiovascular disease/high cholesterol- Cancer- High blood pressure- Diabetes- Infections- Arthritis/joint stiffness- Bladder problems- Kidney stones- Obesity- GERD/acid reflux- Hives The best way to regulate the body's pH is to avoid acid-forming foods and increase the intake of foods that arealkaline. Unlike distilled vinegar which is acid to the body, applecider vinegar is alkaline. So, apple cider vinegar canhelp to normalize pH, which helps or prevents conditionscaused by acidosis--that's a fact. Look at the list of conditions caused by acidosis again. Compare that to the list of "claimed" apple cider vinegarcures. By gosh, they're the same! Does it really matter that there haven't been "scientificstudies" on apple cider vinegar? Especially when it ISscientifically proven that acidosis causes disease, andalkaline foods (including apple cider vinegar) reduceacidosis. I'll leave it to you to decide...but in case you'reinterested: Apple cider vinegar can be taken three times a day bymixing 1 or 2 tablespoons of vinegar in 8 ounces of(preferably distilled) water. Always drink ACV diluted. Use a straw or rinse your mouthwith water right after drinking to avoid enamel erosion onyour teeth. You can also get a daily dose of ACV by using it in saladdressing or as a dip for fish or roasted potatoes. Learn more about acidosis and its effects. The manual,"Foods That Create Acid and Foods That Take It Way" - http://www.GreatTasteNoPain.comtea... you the importance of maintaining pH levels in thebody, and gives you an extensive guide of acid-forming andalkaline foods.
