" You deffinately need to go back to the doctor!
I only had mile pancreatitis and no gall stones. (they think it was one or some of the meds I take for other problems), but when I couldn't hold anything down, I got my kiester back to the ER.
I'm scared for you. Please post what your doc says.
hugs and well wishes! "

" I have a pancreas birth defect and functional dyspepsia. I lost 90 lbs while sick. I was told to eat low fat foods as well but it didn't help enough. In the beginning the docs thought I only had the pancreas problem but found i have functional dyspepsia. That may be something you want to ask your doctors about. I'm beginning to loose weight again so I went to a new doctor. The doctor told me to go on a macrobiotic diet. There is a book you can find on the internet and buy for about $20 that explains it all. He said if I followed it strictly within a month I would feel 100% better. Ive been doing it for a week and its already helping! Cant hurt to try. "

" talk to your doctor about pancreatic enzymes. They will help you digest your foods and make your pancreas work less while it heals. I know it sure helped me out for a while before y surgery. even after my surgery i have to take them and i am now gaining my weight back slowly and eating has become much easier. "

" Hello,
Like yourself I have lost a great deal of weight (120+ lbs) due to being unable to eat solid food for a long time. I am currently taking Pancrease. My progression was pretty basic. I would only have my tube feeds and occasionally some broth. Occasionally I would get pain just from taking a sip of water or taking pills. I toyed around with different types of foods to eat. I found that eating jello can be good if done at a very slow pace. It doesn't sound like much but it helped me to progress towards puddings and eventually eggs. But I do have set backs and some days I don't eat anything because of the pain. Let us know what might work for you or if any of the suggestions helped. "
