I have been experiencing pain in my vagina and abdomen since I was a teenager ( 24 now). I have good days and bad days. Most days I have pain when I urinate and sex is usually painful during or after. After seems to be worse. I have had numerous tests done, pap smers, a laparoscopy and light placed into my bladder, yet nothing shows up. My doctors pretty much look at me like I'm faking it. One told me that it was probabloy something I will just have to live with. It is very frusturating. If anyone has gone through this and has any idea of what it might be I would love the imput. It's so hard walking around with this type of pain. I usually tell others I have a headache or something, I feel silenced by embarrassment.The truth is MY VAGINA HURTS!!! There I've said it.

I have also had the same problem since i was 19, im now nearly 24. I too have good and bad days, but lately they have been all bad. Ive had smears and internal exams and scans only to show nothing at all. My doctor told me she doesn't think im lying to her even tho thats how she makes me feel. I feel like ive been told that its something i have to live with. After 4 years i feel like its never going away and ive been so depressed. I know what its like when everyones asking are you ok? whats wrong and i cant say well i feel like my vagina is on fire, or i cant be intimate with my partner because it feels like im being ripped apart inside. I know how this feels! im new to this group and hope to chat to you some time. Even if its just to have a good whinge.

I have also been dealing with the same thing. I've been with my boyfriend for just over 5 years, and it never became an issue until about 2 years ago. I do have severe endometriosis and polycystic ovaries - not to mention that I was recently diagnosed with uterine fibroids. I am now 27 years old and it is impossible for me to have a normal sex life with my boyfriend. The doctors have no answers to me at this time. I hope you have since found out what is going on with you. Good luck!

Me too! It started about 4 years ago, came out of nowhere. Before that I was fine and I had an active sex life. But not anymore. I have good days and bad days as far as the pain, but sex is impossible, it just hurts too much!! Like you, doctors can't find anything wrong. Shewolf, I know exactly what you mean when you say "my vagina is on fire" and "it feels like I'm being ripped apart inside." I've gotten depressed too and have spent a lot of time crying about this.
