Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group

I seriously am thinking about taking that med also.I heard that it actually decreases weight.

I was on it. It didn't really affect my weight or do much for the ocd.

I was on it for about 3 1/2 years, I guess it helped some and I did gain weight, But not sure it was the Luvox or some of the other meds I am on, it finally got to the point where it wasn't working as I am sure everything else is like that too.

hmmm... see I have heard the exact oppisite... That it is one of the best drugs for OCD.. I even know a therapist that is taking it, and it is the only one that works for him..I guess everyone is diffrent... Can I just have a new brain...LOL...

From what my dr said, it is not a weight gainer. I switched last week and he knows that I am a little OCD about my weight. I noticed the side effects said that it helps with Aneroxia, Bulemia and Obesity which seem to contradict each other so I dont know.

I think everyone reacts differently to different meds so give it a try.

I'm just worried it wont work for my OCD. Cant they make one thing that specifically works for OCD?? Geez!!

it didnt work for me...i was rxd it for both my ocd and my raging insomnia. all it did was keep me up and crawling outta my skin for four days. i tried it with orther sleeping pills and it did nothing. i stopped it after a week b/c i was so exhausted.
