Zoloft?

Has anyone here been on Zoloft? Did it make you irritable at all? Distant, cold, or angry? My mom said it made her angry and I am afraid it is doing that to me. I just started taking it for postpartum depression so I don't know if I am feeling so weird because I am stressed from how different everything is and I keep being really snippy and bossy to my husband and I feel bad ... so I am afraid it's the Zoloft and I want to stop taking it ...

" How much are you on? I take Zoloft. They started me out on 25mg about 7 months into my pregnancy & then went up to 100mg after I had the baby because my symptoms were not getting much better. It takes some time for it to kick in. They generally tell you to give it I think about 6 weeks to try it, I'm not sure exactly how long, ask your doctor but at a week & a half it's really to soon to judge. It made me kinda tired at first but once I got used to it I was ok. It's probably just postpartum making you cranky & stuff. "

" I know the side effects are sometimes scary to hear but they are not the same for everyone. I have been on it during and after my pregnancy with my second son. My doctor told me to stop it because we thought it made me to irritalbe due to the bipolar 2 I have. But I would say give it a chance. Sometimes it takes awhile to get used to a new med. Not to metion everything has changed for you. If it goes on for more than a month talk to your doctor.
Good Luck!!! "

" I am transitioning right now from Zoloft to Prozac. I was on the highest dose of Zoloft and I swear it was a placebo - lol. It didnt do a thing except make my heart race and give me headaches. I was on it for over 6 months. "

" I was on several different med's since the late 80's but have found zoloft for me has worked the best. I take 300 mg a day along with 8 other med's for depressive disorder and anxiety. I am going through a really anxious time right now....worrying needlessly over a crazy situation. I'll be glad when it passes. Hope the zoloft works for you. "
