Does anyone else here find music to be a little calming? I gravitate to rock/alternative but like all kinds of music. Sometimes it feels good to hear a song that relates to me. Does anyone else find it calming at times if so what kind of music?

" I love music. My whole life used to revolve around it. It is funny how sometimes I can't even express my feelings or anything, without it. I may be weird but I love a lot of Oldies music (Abba, Beach Boys, the theme from Somewhere in time makes me cry but I love it) I am an eclectic listener, but I also love to sing. I wish I had more cd's but really we don't have too many. I love Air supply, and all kinds of romantic music. Some classical is very soothing too. In college I did a study on music and the emotions and how different songs had different effects on people. It's been a long time since then. I think music is one of the best medicines out there. I get excited talking about it lol. (Was going to be a voice major years ago, but health got in the way). I like some of the older Rock like Bon Jovi and I am trying to think of some alternative but I guess I would have to hear the names of some artists to remember :). I really like Enya and Celtic/Irish style music too. Well, I think I have babble enough lol "

" yes! music is my savior- Bob acts up the most when I'm studying, so i have started studying at school instead of home. however, my ocd is so severe that i have trouble getting out of the house, so now what i do is I'll have the headphones on until we're ready to go and then I'm off... I'm glad you mentioned it because its worked wonders for me :) "

" Any Bon Jovi song helps me. I can relate to the lyrics. It's as if they're describing my life. I'm going to see them again in March! I can't wait! "
