Ask her doctor for a different type of nausea pill. I have two different kinds. Zophran 2 x day (morning and night) and Compazine that I can take every 6-8 hours in between. Those are usually the ones I take. Chemo does mess with all sorts of emotions. My last 2 chemos (RCVP) have been a little rougher. It's always harder the first week and the fatigue can be rough. I manage to work about a half day the first week after. See if she can join some kind of support group. Its so important. The Lymphoma Society has a few sites she can go to, and they also have Lymphoma buddies where she can have one-on one either email, or calling or writing. I relay on my Lymphoma buddy and the Webmagic Forum friends. Counseling can help too. This disease is hard on both the patient and their family. It is so important to understand just what this beast does. Do a lot of research. It effects everyone different. Good luck.

Does she have any food cravings.... I am on my third treatmentand certain foods make me want to puke, like bacon and eggs, used to be a favorite of mine, just thought nauseates me. Popcycles, sherbet and ice cream go down fine....and now I like alot of fruits and vegtables......

My mother and best friend passed with cancer and now my son-in-laws brother has it, I did for my mom and my friend the same thing that EDDB is saying give into every craving I know sometimes that is not possible depending on money issues, but when I worked in the hospital we always instructed aides to let the food cool off and get the odor off before they took it to a patient, cold things worked better with my mom and best friend.

My third RCHOP was my hardest and I always took it out on the person that cared for me when I wasn't feeling well....my boyfriend. Do not take it personally, let her do things the way she needs to to best get through things.

This shouldn't be this hard for your wife. If you have a decent medical insurance plan, ask the Dr. if she can get a prescription for EMEND. (It is a VERY expensive RX). It is three pills, one is taken on the day of chemo before chemo, and the next two days one pill is taken each morning. I have to say after 8 rounds of R+CHOP I have never been nauseous. I also got a prescription for the Zofran someone else mentioned, but never had to take it for any nausea. My appetite isn't that great the next week, because I get stomach pain and the I can only enjoy certain foods, like tomato soup and homemade mac and cheese. I also seem to crave salty things like potato chips and McDonald's french fries. If she finds herself exhausted, her white blood cell count might be very low, the Dr. could order a blood test, and there are fixes for that. I hope this gets easier for both her and you. Take care.
