I DONT WORKOUT EVEN THOUGH I SHOULD BUT I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. WHEN I AM WALKING FOR A WHILE MY FEET AND TOES GO NUMB AND START THROBBING. THEN MOST OF MY RIGHT LEG GOES NUMB AND TINGLES. ALOT OF TIMES IF I STAND UP TOO FAST OR SPIN AROND TOO FAST I WILL GET DIZZY AND LIGHTHEADED. THAT IS ALL JUST A PART OF THE DISEASE. OF COURSE TELL YOUR DOC. NO QUESTION OR STATEMENT IS EVER STUPID. JUST DONT FREAK OT TOO MUCH, ITS NORMAL.GOOD LUCK TO YA AND IF YOU NEED ANY HELP, JUST LET ME KNOW.

It may have been that you got overheated. When you get overheated your existing symptoms can flare up again. It has happened to me to.

I have found that when I do the treadmill or long walks my legs tingle and numb feet. I use the bike right now, although I can only ride 15 minutes at a time, bu8t I was told treadmill was a bad idea because of balance issues and stuff like that. I started Pilates today. i could only do 10 minutes of the 20 minute., very low impact work out, but i figure if I start slow I can work my way up, it actually felt pretty good to stretch...of course it hurts like you know what now, but I don't want to stop and have to start this process all over. Maybe try to ride an exercise bike instead of walking on the treadmill.i would hate for you to get hurt from the dizziness. and yes, tell the neuro, document everything.....

I work out at the gym, when the fatigue factor isn't too much. I am doing a yoga class and pilates class (these are my favorite). I do what I am able to do. I ocassionally do the treadmill, but I am very careful. I have had a similar experiance as you describe. I do try to take it easy as not to get too hot, I hold on with my hands and clip the stop cord to me if it has one. If I know that my balance and coordination in my legs isn't good or I am having any trouble with tripping, I avoid the treadmill. Honestly, I thought everyone had the feeling that you are on the treadmill even after you got off! I have also felt a bit mentally disoriented. I went to get a disinfectant to clean my machine and when I came back, I couldn't figure out which one was mine. An older man said to me, "I thought that just happened at my age!"

Hi Erin,
I can totally relate to everything you wrote about re the treadmill, especially the getting off part! I thought it was just me!If you mention it to your doc., let me know if he has any suggestions or comments.

I go to the gym four times a week - but do not do the treadmill. My leg starts to drag - so I am afraid I will trip. I do the bike. That works a lot better. I would tell your doctor about this. Are you tracking incidences such as this?

I sometimes get that feeling of numbness when I'm working around the house. I don't get it either. I have been dizzy and a little disoriented after working out, it lasted all day. But, that was my first day back at working out. I have found now, that if I start to feel that way, I stop and take a break. If it still bugs me, I quit for the day. You don't want to fatigue yourself, and you body is trying to tell you to slow down a bit.
Good luck! Stay strong and healthy!
Peace!

Also, just wanted to add. I use the bike. I still get my legs working and I'm not as dizzy as I would be if I was trying to walk.
