Just curious as to how many people here have sight problems........I live in a hot state (today the heat index was over 115), anyhow when I get over heated I tend to go completely blind, can't see a thing until I lay in my cool house under the vent and cool off. I know the heat really affects us but does anyone else have this problem?

oh yeah, has been happining to me since saturday, only right eye, comes and goes, and does get better when the heat goes away

dont know if the heat messes with my sight or not, but my sight goes nutty whenever it wants. I was just sitting here on one side of the room and my son is on the other side of the room and the writing on his screen looks red in places. he says its all black. gets blurry whenever it wants and lights flashes and dark spots and double vision im my right eye. I live in a relatively hot state too.

Heat affects me terribly in many ways, vision probs being one of them. It causes my vision to become either blurry, doubled, or tunneled, but not go blind, thankgoodness! Sorry it affects you this way, but to answer your question...yes, heat can make you have temporary vision problems of all kinds. *~Lisa~*

I assume yoou have had optical neuritis before. Old symptoms will often get worse when heat strikes. I don't go blind but it sre messes with my color vision. I tried to find burgandy towels for a wedding gift once but had to ask the sales person because they looked an ugly shade of brown to me.

My main lesion is behind my left eye, making that eye a bit of a non focusing lazy eye. In the last week I have been having real trouble with reading the paper. I don't know if MS related or age related or both. I can't see the print from any distant. Usually a strong 20/20. Just one more thing to worry about I guess!!
