I'm not taking a pill for MS either, but it sure would be nice if it did work so we wouldn't have to take these shots everyday. But on the upside, at least there are shots that help fight the MS. Best of luck to you golferguy.

"Low-Dose Naltrexone" is the very low dose (3-4.5mg)for of Naltrexone used on Opiate and Heroine addicts and works as an opioid antagonist, (it blocks the effects of the drugs) It is rx'ed in 50mg doses.
LDN has not been submitted for approval by FDA because it requires clinical trials that will cost millions. There are people out there raising money to get it done. BUT, they can rx it "off label" because Naltrexone IS FDA approved. It seems to have been successful in just about everyone I have talked to that is on it, and the stats are GREAT! I hesitate do it ONLY because the longterm effects of course would not be known for quite some time.

I am supposed to start my screening tests to start a clinical trial for "pill" Fingolamod. I am pretty sure this is the 2nd international trial. If I am deemed "healthy" enough to start, I'll let everyone know what I find out. It is a 2 year trial and I have a 1/3 chance that I get the placebo. Since I have been allergic to all the interferons I am out of "preventative" medicine choices so I figured why not give this a try and hopefully it will work for people and maybe help some people not have to do the injections. I'll post info when I get it sometime end of this month. Would love to hear if anyone else is doing this too??? take care-michele

Hey Michelea! Yes, keep us posted on if you get in, and on how the trials are going thereafter! Also, what phase is it in? I was thinking phase III?
