Many of you already know I was dx with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 2003 and in 2005 additional "neurology that mimics Multiple Sclerosis". and I've put up posts about my bobblehead and then the doc recommended physical therapy, but the heat wiped me out and stayed in my muscles and made my limbs go limp.Following that I pulled my back out. Today I was at the docs and discussed with her my sore and irritated spine, from neck to tailbone. I discussed my weak feeling muscles and the heat they "hold". she told me that my muscles "holding heat" was "not normal, not normal at all" and that using ice packs on my back constantly was also "not normal". She was at a loss of how to guide me but suggested that it sounded like I may have myositis, (what the heck is that????) an autoimmunie disease where the body attacks itself and makes for weak and low grade fever muscles and difficulty with coordination. she recommends me to a rheumatologist.
Does any of this sound familiar to any of you? what is your input? What do you think? Thanks. hugs Ellen Posted on 06/23/08, 10:06 pm |

This article (web site listed here) has a lot of easy to understand info on myositis. This is one of the many things that was ruled out with me during my many years of diagnosis.
