Can anyone relate??

I was just diagnosed in Feb..., and just in the past 3-4 weeks I have regained memory and developed quite the angst and fear of what this monster does! So, I want to know:

has anyone else gotten Cytoxan chemo to help? I'm 26, and well, I am slowly learning, but I want to know if the hair loss is big..

of course I know that alcohol is unhealthy for everyone, but is a glass of wine once a week something that anyone does?

has any woman experienced not menstruating (sorry, guys) for 4 months??? Before my chemo even started I had gone 4.5 months with only cramps but nothing else... Anyone relate?

Vivid and creepy dreams? I have those and I forget them afterwards, but these dreams are different than the ones I have experienced my whole life...

Ok, well, I just took lots of yall's time, and I appreciate how thoughtful, peacegul, positive, and helpful everyone is to everyone

Thanks... and let me know what you are thinking!!!!

" I suggest to ask neuro for a referral to a gyn...if he gives you the name, then it is more likely that the 2 of them will use their phones to discuss your case. You need both on your team. Do not forget that we are still human---not just MS'ers. Also, I am going to strongly suggest that you go oneline and google 'cataplexy.' It is a sleep disorder like narcolepsy in that few people have it. It is treatable if you see a sleep specialist for a sleep study. Stress brings on catalexy attacks. If you have cataplexy and it is not treated, it will make your MS worse as it interferes with sleep. After reading 3 or 4 sites on cataplexy, if you think you have it, call both your PCP and your neuro to ask who is the best sleep specialist for this. Try to find one who works with your neuro so that they will also talk on the phones. Surprisingly, very few doctors use their phones to talk to one another about patients, so make a request that they do. Your PCP and your neuro cannot treat cataplexy---they might think they can, but sleep disorders takes one full year of specialized tratining after med school---don't let any other doctor fool you into believing they can treat a sleep disorder. I am a support group leader in the State of Oregon, and if you have other questions, let me know. ok! Leanna "
