I have no experience with copax. However i was a nurse before i became ill.Everyone is different where meds are concerned what may cause indentations on one person may not on another.A indentation is similar to if you have been layed on a button and it leaves a print on your skin. However i think with copax is like a circle thats goes in.Maybe others will know more.

i've been on it for 10 or 11 months and i have one spot on my right arm from a shot, but it was a shot i went too shallow on. you're better off to go deep as you can into fat. oh and it looks like a small round dry spot, but it feels like little bumps

I've been using Copaxone since March of 2005 and have never had a problem except for there is one hard spot on the left side of my stomach which I was told is just hard tissue. (Nice run-on) Copaxone is wonderful to me and am very happy with it.

Ohh about messaging site... My nurse told me not to do that until 24 hours after. she said it helps rid of lumps. I have not gotten any lumps yet, so I do not do it but I do not think you are supposed to rub it right away,,,, Please check and let me know if I am wrong. Thanks, Clare

Clare, the Copaxone nurse told me the same thing about not massaging until 24 hours after injection.

In order to avoid any permanent dents or callouses, make sure you rotate your shots, and keep in mind that for each area you shoot, there are a multitude of places to also choose from. For example, you have like a 8 x 5 inch area on your arm to inject with a tiny little needle, you can rotate within your rotation. You have all the way from your groin to above your knee and the whole thigh wide to target, try not to play favorites with sites...it's tough, I know, there are places that I KNOW ARE GOING TO HURT when it's time for close to the knee injections. But I only go there after a month of rotating, so it's not so bad. If you keep hitting the same spot, you can cause damage. Rotate within your rotation. It takes some time for the dents and callouses to form, but you don't want to set yourself up for getting them in the future! Hope that helps! XOXOXO

I was on Copaxone for 2 years. I had lots of skin reactions and hard spots that developed. I have been off the drug for several years and have no lasting marks.

I used to take Copaxone. For me, it happened right away, and I stopped taking Copaxone and switched to Rebif about a year ago, and I can still feel every single injection of Copaxone that I took. When you inject with Copaxone, you may get a red spot that will hurt, but the thing that you are talking about is not visible. Instead, you just feel it. I tried using things like Cocoa-Butter and even lotions for women who became pregnant and had sretch marks because of this, but nothing worked for me because this is an interior problem. I hope this helps, and good luck with everything!
