" Yup, my feet feel like I'm walking on gravel and my stupid legs knot up at night then hurt during the day where were knotted up! It's been about 2 years for me too. Sometimes my rearend mucles get sore, I think from walking off balance. "

" You sound just like me - I'm even to the point that I avoid walking any further than I need to because my feet burn when I do and my legs gets to hurting so bad that I'm forced to limp and then finally stop. It actually hurst a bit more right after I stop - like a swelling of the pain.

This is what has made me feel truly disabled - I don't plan anything that will require extended walking - no shopping, being outdoors, museums, etc.. The idea of hte MS Walk actually made me laugh because the idea of being able to do it was so absurd anymore.

And as far as meds goes, I haven't found the trick yet. Tried Cymbalta for neuropathy (gained weight), Zanaflex for spactisity (made me sleepy), pain killers (can't function/drive, etc.) - none of it works.

I'm crossing my fingers (my toes are too numb to cross anymore) that the Phase 3 trials for the new meds work out and we get some relief soon.

Enough is truly enough. "

" Oh yes, I have it everyday. Sometimes the legs will not work. They are two stiff sticks trying to bend. I wish I could walk because I have gained so much weight by not exercising. My calves really get sore if I walk too much, which is not far. I walk with a cane. Do you have a cane, sometimes that helps. I know how you are feeling, it is terrible, I wish we did not have this pain. HUGS Maggie, "

" My legs just recently started to hurt big time but I think it may be due to severe weather changes here because before it was mild pain but now they just ache all the time...i took an aspirin and that helped but still that is a temporary fix. "

" I think leg problems are common in MS. I get cramps under my foot when I walk and in my toes. My calves hurt and down the sides of my thighs I get burning pain. Sometime the burning is so bad I cry and nothing I have pain killer wise helps. When the pain is not bad it still hurts but i live with it, the feeling is weird kind of itchy but yet not itchy, more like irritation down the outer thigh. I also get spams at the top of my left leg which makes the entire leg spasm. When I do not have my husband to hold on to I now use my cane to help me with balance and clumsiness and in case I fall so I can get up. "

" I remember when my leg pain used to be extremely bad, I got stuck using a walker for almost 2 months starting last March because of it. It was so embarrasing at school because I'm only 17 and couldnt even get up the stairs to two of my classes for that time so I had to just sit in the library with people staring at me. It eventually got better and I'm walking on my own again but the pain comes and goes and there still is slight numbness running up my legs since. Hopefully yours will get better too and you wont need too much assistance when walking. Try physical therapy or swimming, I found those helped me out quicker than by just taking certain medications. Good luck!!
