Just when I was feeling well enough to start my life's ambition, my health has kicked me in the butt. Unfortunately my neurologist does not think the symptoms are related to my MS (I am unsure of that but she's the expert right?) and so is sending me off for a brain MRI and lumbar puncture next week (and I looooove LPs NOT!). The symptoms are pretty severe and are keeping me confined to home in a dark room.
Anyway this is where I would like to request some help from the caring people posting here. It was my plan to approach my local press to run a story on my charity website (all funds go to MS Research Australia, part of the MS Society here). I only launched it on Christmas day so it is just a little baby in the big bad internet.But I am too sick to be able to handle face to face interviews or anything like that, so I am looking for alternate methods of publicity. I was hoping that you would be able to help me by spreading the word via your blogs or on alternate forums you might visit or other ways that I haven't even thought about...maybe you have contacts with the press or something. The website is http://www.netxperiment.com and it's goal is to raise $1 Million (THINK BIG!). Businesses, people or groups, can contribute via PayPal and have their name and URL link displayed in the Contributor Cloud...Some interesting things have already happened with one forum I visit (it's a nerd one) challenging another forum to see who can get the biggest entry on there...maybe your College or employer could also challenge someone they are close to ..a few of my friends who have small businesses have also popped their business name and link in. The best bit is contributions start at $1 (though you need a magnifying glas to see them lol) so anyone can join in.
