Yes, I get night sweats real bad the only thing they do is put you on more anti-depressants. I have to freeze my family out of house and home (66 degrees) year round except on cold days when I open the windows (Burrrrrrrrrrrr). I also turn on a ceiling fan and a fan at my bed side on high.

" I've been getting really bad night sweats too. I was told by the doctor it is caused by anxiety. I don't put much faith into that. If you find anything out please let me know. :o) "

" I am past menopause and still get the flashes like it. I really believed it was the MS but didn't know. I am glad to hear this but sorry for all of us experiencing it. For me it's not just at night either. So frustrating too, just like back when I was menopausal! I went thru that early and really think it's done but those sweats and the nausea that accompanies it drives me nuts. Mid winter, I cannot cover my back or shoulders and still need short or no sleeves. Thanks for the post. "

" I go through times where I have night sweats. I have asked many doctors about it, but they look at me blankly. I think for myself it has to do with when I am having increased allergies and maybe even fighting off a sinus infection. Do you have night sweats every night? Do you wake up feeling extremely tired? It seems like night sweats are a sign that something is out of balance. If it isn't hormones, sweating is a way for the body to get rid of something (allergy, low level infection, toxin). Like you, I always want to find the reason for things and not just throw a drug at it and hope the symptom goes away. "

" I gets the sweats. Myneuroand my GP said its the sympathetic (isnt that sweet) system. I've been starting to research and I am finding a few MS'ers goes through this. I was told itis very common with spinal cord injuries butless with MS but I think we may end seeing it on the symptoms list over the next few years. "

" Oh yeah, it does seem rare that it is ever discussed or recognized as a problem with MS. When I was having the night sweats, I was also having heart irregularities which would be affected by the sympathetic nervous system. Of course both problems could be caused by many things, but it could simply be that there is damage to nerves affecting the sympathetic (part of the autonomic) nervous system. Thanks for bringing that up, Chances! "
