I've read some posts about vaginal pain but I have a few more questions. For the last few months my vulva has been killing me. It's an annoying pain, and I also have a pain that feels like a pulled muscle from the upper vagina to my lower abdomen, sometimes it hurts so much it's hard to roll over in bed. My doctor has me on a spasm medicine and I've made a gynological appt. I guess I'm just scared. I'm 52 and haven't had my period in 7 weeks and two days ago I started with bright red blood, not much just spotting. Just want to know if anyone else is experiencing these problems. Thanks.

How long is it till your gyn appt.? I would call the gyn office ad tell them, but also call your PCP and tell them. See if they ca get you into the gy appt sooner. If they do not have an immediate opening, go to ER the same day, and let your PCP know you are going.
I am advising this because you ever know what could be happening inside of you. Sometimes women develop vaginal hemorroids that bleed, so it might be something not to be alarmed at. But, on the same point, it could be something more serious. Remember that it is your body and no one else is going to advocate for you like you can. Best of luck, and let us know how the phone calls go.

I have had serious pain too. I went to my gyno. and everything for me has checked out fine. They do think I may be starting early menopause since I was having my periods more often, yeah! Maybe this is what is going on with you. Although my pain seems different than yours (I have bad pain during intercourse). I also was experiencing bacterial infections(not yeast) after an antibiotic. They would clear it up and said I shouldn't ever have this again. Well that wasn't true. I now eat Activia everyday and it seems to help with the infections. I also was having UTI's . I do think when my body is out of sync I tend to have these issues. I also started vit. C for UTI. Go see the dr. and demand answers, Beth
