Hi Mac, this diarrhea is caused by the chemo and the antibotic which kills off the good bactria in your gut which you need to keep from having diarrhea. My Dr. stated I could die without it he told me to start taking yogurt, so now I'm drowning in yogurt, the reason I wanted to know about the diarrhea is if anyone knew something that worked better as this was working very slowly. He said not to take anything over the counter, had you ever heard of anything like this? Thanks for your reply Nanc

OK...ah, no...not heard of this...am wondering if taking acidofulus tablets would help? Considering that's the 'good' bacteria you're looking for...would this not be better than drowning in yoghurt?

I know this probably sounds terrible and by no means is meant to be insulting ...I have an older dog who the vet told me to give her acidofulus tablets for the same problem...I break open the capsules and sprinkle on her food...of course these supplements are from the health store for human consumption...why wouldn't these by the best alternative for you?

You're welcome....I'm sure that's the reason they are available for human consumption too! I believe they are tasteless...no reason why you couldn't mix it in a drink or add it to cereal?

there is something you can get from the supermarket that works.CONDENSED MILK.it worked for me when i was on cemo but now that cemo has brought on diabeties i cant use this now because suger level is to high.

A doctor once told me to drink some of that fiber stuff that you usually take to MAKE you go, but instead it would "firm" up the stool so that your not just passing water. The acidolphulis capsuls are very good! Most do have to be refridgerated after opening. Good luck, I've been there!!

Have you tried the B.R.A.T. diet our doctors recommend it for babies. Bran,Rice,Applesauce and toast.
