Hi!

I am just wondering if anyone else has a great response to Methlypred? I have recieved it about 5 or 6 times now and it always works so well. Not being able to walk very well then being able to run again in a few days. Can it be used as a long term treatment? I know it has side effects.....but it just seems to be so good! I have had MS for nearly 7 years....and it always works every time.

" My son uses it for his Ankilosing spongylitus but his doctor is very cautious and watches him very carefully. He's also on Remicade and like you, he feels like superman after his treatments, but his doctor has told him that eventually they will no longer work and his disease will progress. "

" it will help relapses by reducing inflamation in the brain. it worked for me for a few years and then i had novantrone/solumedral for 3 years. it made me feel great! i took it the last time 5 days at 1,000 mg IV. it didn't work. i hate to say that to you. depending on your MS, you have to wait ans see. ii'm was glad to get it but now i'm sorry i ever took it. Methylprednisolone takes it's toll on your body. then again, it will be the last resort so i stay away from it. "
