I don't think were you live now effects weather you have MS or not as much as where you grew up. When my neurologist was first dxing me he ask me where I grew up (I live in atlanta now) and when I told him NE Ohio, he said there is a lot of MS patients that grew up in that area.

The further you look from the equator, the higher number of cases of MS. So, with Canada being more north than the US, thats why the numbers are higher

I have heard something about an "MS Belt" - from Ohio up to the BOston area or something. I haven't been able to find anything online about that but will end up doing so. Are you in the east part of the continent? (I don't think it goes away, lol - but the cooler temps are generally better for you so far as I can tell.)
