Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group

Hello everybody!

It's been a while since I've been here, but I couldn't think of a batter place to find out something:

I have a team of people that I'm doing the MS walk on Sunday in Chicago, and I'm in the process of making t-shirts for all of us to wear. The idea I came up with was a "Top Ten Reasons Having MS Is Awesome" shirt, and came up with ten things that I HOPE people will laugh at. What I'm also concerned with is not offending anybody, which usually wouldn't bother me, but I want to play nice on Sunday.

I, myself, do have MS, in case you were wondering.

So I'm putting them up here for anybody to give their opinion on. Please let me know: 1) Is it funny? 2) Do any of them offend you? and 3) Do you have any that are even better that I could add?

Top Ten Reasons Having MS Is Awesome

10. Get rock star parking with your new handicapped license plates.

9. Get to walk around with a snake head cane without looking like an arrogant tool.

8. Have as many track marks as a heroin junkie without having to go through rehab.

7. Never get tired of hearing “But it doesn’t look like anything’s wrong with you.”

6. You haven’t lived until you’ve woken up from a solid good night’s sleep of 9 hours, ate breakfast, and then settled in for a 4-hour nap.

5. 2 words: brain cloud

4. Built-in excuse for not going to the in-laws.

3. All the symptoms of alcoholism, but without having to commiserate with barflies.

2. Get extra sympathy every time the Jerry Lewis telethon is on TV.

1. Finally, a reason to watch Montel!
