Tell me as anyone in here had a really bad childhood, as in ...always stressed as a kid for what ever reason.
I had a real nasty father always beating on me and calling me down.
I lived on my nerves always scared always pent up.
Did this damage my vervous system cos the nervs were always inflamed,
Then because of that my auto imune system began to attack.

" I had a messed up childhood that did cause me stress so musch so that I was addicted to valium at 13. My parents did their best to make things as normal as possible to cover the pains of my wacked childhood. I never thought of it before but I can see that stress early on could do something to our makeup and suspectability to getting the disease or how bad we get it or handle it. "

" Wow, just scanning these notes makes me sad. Very sad.
I had a wonderful mother who raised me. My dad left due to mental illness and was in mental hosptials most of my childhood. My brothers were rough, emotionally and probably beat me up a time or two, but that didn't leave the scar, it was the "fat" remarks and teasing.

Relate to MS, I honestly don't think so, or at least in my case as the physical abuse wasn't that extreme.

My solution to everything is in my relationship with the Lord Jesus. "

" This has nothing to do with physical abuse,
aiat mental abuse, the kind of abuse that leaves you alone and afraid of everyone and evrything that may hurt you.
Fear is deep fear can make you very ill without even knowing it.
It could be a fear of being noticed or spoken about.
A fear of being in public places any kind of fear that causes long term stress, stress affects the mylim or isw mylem...anyway long term can and will affect the bodys make up.
If your nerves are constantly inflamed then the mylem will break up and the body will repair but will start to see the mylem as unfrienly. Just a threary I'm looking in to.....Best to u all..... "

" I have wondered if the belt whippings that I took as a child and early teen had anything to do with my destroyed nerves in my lower back. I have never been without something that makes my nerves edgy. Situations that I put myself in or just a lack of finances that would make a person worry. I feel that the nerves can only take so much. Then one day BAM! If I get nervous nowadays I just lock right up and my back starts to spasm! "

" Cannot tell you how stressful my childhood was, as that would probably land me into another support group or Dr. Phil wanting to highlight me on his show..... "
