I had my blood work done today. Then at 3:40 Dr. T called me HIMSELF. Finally, a real doctor instead of one of his nurses!
He told me that my HGC rose from 104 to 121. Again this took a week. But my P4 dropped from 25 to 12, which is where it was on Tuesday of this week. My options are: A. Wait this out...but that can take WEEKS he said B. Methotrexate or C. A D&C which he is hard pressed to do. So I opted for option B. On Monday at 1 p.m. I am to go for my injection. He tells me from there the miscarriage will be hastened. We have to wait one full cycle before we can do another injectable cycle. So I am going to go on the Nuva Ring the Sunday after the bleeding starts. So it looks like in June we will be ovulating again. I feel so hopeful now that we have a plan...and so glad to be closer to a resolution. I just hope that this NEVER happens again. I would rather never get pregnant again than have to endure this... im happy to hear you have some options now. i just got my blood work back and they said my levels went up. so i have to go in monday and get an ultrasound done to see whats up. what does the Methotrexate do exactly? i rather not do a D&C again but i dont think my body is getting rid of everything. anyway i know how you feel. if i could know i couldnt get pregnant i would be fine but i hate knowing i can get pregnant but we arent sure if i will stay pregnant. Keep us updated!

Pattijo, this came from my doctor. My second opinion was tomorrow. In my opinion instead of him diagnosing a miscarriage after beta #2 he should have said threatened...we will do 1 more blood draw and see where we are at. Because yesterday the whole tone seemed to change...it was as if everything till then was hunky dory and he was just waiting till #3. A suggestion I will make to him for future patients. I understand they deal with this daily...but they need to remember there is a human being with feelings at the other end of these numbers.
