I am wanting to knwo how people deal with mothers day after losing a child. I lost my baby through miscarriage. A week before mothers day was the anniversary for my babies death. then a week later mothers day. I work in childcare and am reminded enough if not by making things with the children, having parents wishing my constantly happy mothers day, let alone frineds and people I know well who know IM not a mother of a living child also wishing me a happy mothers day. It has been 3 years now but wow it hurts as much as if it were yesterday.

This was a very difficult day for me. I thought it was kind of weird, considering the fact that I have other children but it was rough. My oldest son rented the Nancy Drew movie for me to cheer me up because he remembered me telling him that I loved the Nancy Drew books as a kid. I also got myself a 6-week-old kitten who is named Peanut.

It was so difficult for me as well. I should have a 1 year old and a newborn, or at least be 5 months pregnant right now. After 3 mc, I just was so upset when people that KNOW me said the most uncaring and insensitive things to me (see my journal). Then at work, someone brought in an 11 day old newborn. I had to walk away, and that is not like me, I love babies, any baby. It has never affected me this way before. I don't know how to help you deal, but just know that you aren't alone. My 1st mc was almost 2 years ago now and it does seem like it was just yesterday.
