Antidepressants for migraines?

I've tried Elavil, prozac, lexapro, and xanax for migraines and menopause. They all made my migraines worse. I would get one the first day I would start taking these. Six months on Elavil were the worst six months of my life! I feel I do need some kind of antidepressant to help with my menopause, but I want it to help with the headaches too. I was wondering if anyone else has had success with any of them. Ever since my hysterectomy five years ago, the migraines are not better, but I now am depressed because I having bad anxiety and its driving me crazy! I'm not sure what to treat. But antidepressants seem to be what they give people with all these symtoms, I just wish I knew which one to try next.

" CORRECTION: I am currently taking Zoloft instead of Cymbalta. So far, it seems to help with the depression part. Need to wait and see on anything else. "

" have you had your hormones checked, you could be estrogen dominant which can cause migraines. You may need to up your progesterone levels to feel less edgy and anxious. Try finding someone who specialises in womens hormones and have a blood test. I am going through this right now. Of late I have cut out wheat from my diet and for the first month in many I haven't had a migraine. "
