Is there anyone here that is on the same medication as I am?? If so , How is it working for you??
So far I do not have any real complaints.I do have to take phenergan with it to combat the nausea and vomitting I get with my headaches.I have only been back in the hospital a few times since I started this new med.I think I may have found my wonder drug.(atleast for the migraines) Posted on 08/09/08, 05:08 am |

When Maxalt-MLT worked for me, it was my savior. My utter savior.

When I first took it, it was GREAT!! BUt like everything else, it quit working after time. Good luck with it, everybody has different results!!!

I tried Maxalt-MLT when I had a terrible, splitting migraine, and it didn't even touch it. I took Excedrin Migraine after a few hours and it took it right away. Now I take Treximet, but I can only take it before I sleep... it makes me feel funny if I take it while I'm awake. But it does work, even though Excedrin Migraine is probably my typical migraine medication.

I take Maxalt. So far it is the only thing that has given me some relief. It does only last about 6 hours for me, then I'm right back to bed with curtains and door closed.

I also take maxalt, it takes the edge off most of the time, but not always.

i take 10mg tabs of maxalt too. i usually wake up early in the morning with a migraine and most of the time one tab works for me -- as long as I get some sleep afterward. sometimes i have to take a second 10mg dose. once it worked but i was drained and couldn't get up anyway, and the other time it didn't work well enough and i still had a nagging ache all day.
does everyone have to sleep once you take maxalt or can you do every day things?
