I don't know what kind of reaction this will get but I'm hoping at least one other person has experienced this and figured out a way around it. I've noticed that if I forget to brush my teeth at night I won't have a migraine the next day, but besides that brushing gives me horrible migraines. I'm going through my axert like crazy. And my pain meds aren't touching them. I don't know what I can do. I can't avoid this trigger.

" Have you tried brushing with just water for a few nights?

It is possible it is an ingredient in the toothpaste, including fluoride. MSG and aspartame are also in common ingredients in toothpaste, which are also common migraine triggers.

You may be swallowing more than you think.

If you do try brushing with water, you may want to start fresh with a new toothbrush to completely avoid any old toothpaste debris stuck within the bristles.

Take care,
Laura "

" Interesting, try Tom's toothpaste (or another all natural toothpaste) from a health food store. It's a reminder that insiduous ingredients are hidden everywhere in everything.

Thanks for the reminder.

" I agree with the others. Try a natural toothpaste. Also, be sure you are using a soft toothbrush and brushing very gently. If that still does not help then at least be sure you are rinsing with something for now to help keep your teeth or gums from getting decay or what ever. They also have natural forms of mouth rinses.
