Headaches suddenly ceased

I've been having gaw awful stomache churring tensions headaches and migraines for the past 6 months or so. I didn't think it might've been related to my high sugar, but when I 3 days ago upped my Metformin, suddenly, I forgot about Maxalt, Tylenol and Motrin! It turns out it was my poorly controlled insulin resistance aKa(PCOS) that was causing most of them!! It was a shocking discovery. In a good way.

" I'm defintitely not susprised. PCOS wreaks havoc with your endocrine system.

Just so you are aware. current treatment for PCOS - besides the specialized diet and Metfornin - is Avandia (a diabetes medication). And both Metformin and Avandia are available on the $4 Walmart prescription plan. "

" So, I was wrong. It is the generic of Amaryl, Glyburide, and Diabenese - all of which deal with the blood sugar (which in turn allows insulin to have an easier job of it).

Avandia is being prescribed for PCOS, it is just not on the Walmart list. "

" I am thrilled for you and share the "joy" of sudden disappearance of the head aches (cross my fingers). I began taking verapramil, a calcium beta blocker used for blood pressure, so that may be the reason, although I've been on that before and it did zilch.

more likely, it's the combo of that and new meds to treat my bipolar I disorder. As I was spirally down in the past 2-3 months into a horrendous mixed episode of the disease, I had 2-3 migraines PER WEEK. I have not had one in 3-4 weeks, ever since we st rated the verapramil and some new anti-psychotic meds to re-balance my brain. I am thrilled because the migraines floored me and I almost wanted to die more from them than the BP I, a level of BP that's the highest in suicide rates.

I hope you stay pain free! Nili "
