how can you tell the difference between MRSA and just having an infection?????
i have had MRSA before but i accidently didnt go to the doctors until i couldnt walk because i had it on my leg and i just thought it was infected but now i know about MRSA and that was what was wrong with my leg and why i couldnt walk but that was 6 months ago and now right below my knee a tiny area is swollen and i cant tell if its MRSA or just an infection please can any one help

" it is when fluid starts building up under the skin, usually it will be hard in the middle then you have like a ring fluid that makes the skin appear puffy and red. Thats what I have seen anyways. "

" you need to have it checked right away. mrsa can only be seen under a microscope seeing its a bacteria so unless tested you don't know. However if you have been positive in the past, if you do not take care of this area if can also become infected with it. So be safe and have it checked out. "

" Yeah - I thought it was back, too. It had the appearance. But it turned out to be an infected spider bite that abscessed. Glad I got it looked at! The imaginary MRSA was worse than the actual bite. "
