Are any of you with MRSA experiencing body aches and pains? I am wondering if what is being diagnosed in some people as fibromyalgia is actually mrsa. Any comments?

" Hey, thanks for all your replies. I have just felt bad for so long and I have been researching on internet, trying to figure out why, and what it could be. I went to the doctor and requested a nasal culture because I have had a place in my nowe that bothers me. It is kinda like a small growth and I have actually pulled it off sometimes. It always grows back. I had alot of sinus drainage and nasal congestion but it was never too bad that I could not function. I have also had small postule "blemishes" on different parts of my body. When I first noticed them they were on the outside of my nose, (over 10 years ago) as time went on I had them under my arms, on my breast, one or the other, inside my ears, on my face, always only one and never anything real big, 2 or 3 times I had one on my bottom, you get the picture. I thought it was just hormones. Never at the same time and never anything that didn't clear up with a little peroxide. The main pain that I have had is in my lower back. I have night sweats. Just from what I read on the internet I decided to get the nasal culture done. I did it at a "doc in the box"
The doctor was real understanding and willing to help me. He gave me the antibiotic prescription and said I could go ahead and start it. (10 days) He also said to follow up with my primary care physician. I did and she did a blood culture(while I was taking the antibiotic) and a sputum culture and a urine culture. All of these test were negative. I took that as good news. Now I realize that the antibiotic would have prevented the tests from being accurate. Two days after I finished the antibiotic, when I started to feel horrible, I went in to see her, she referred me to the infectious disease doctor. He knows that I have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and I think he is thinking that is why I feel bad. I am practically begging him to give me a long course of antibiotic so I can get this bug out of my system. He seems reluctant to treat me if I don't have a huge gaping infected wound.
I talked to his nurse again today and tried to explain to her how I was feeling, maybe she can get him to see. Any suggestions?
thanks again all of you!! It does help just knowing I am not alone in this. "

" I had MRSA about 5 years ago and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia in the last month (have had symptoms for about 4 years). When I had MRSA, I had cellulitis that had abcesses on my left thigh, near the crease with my hip; and at the base on my skull. I was also extremely drained, much more so than I am with my FM, and had a fever and lots of pain from the cellulitis. The pain did seem to go away when the antibiotics started to work. Mind you I was on 2 before the culture grew out and they put me on the correct one. The pain also abated when the pus was drained from the abcesses. "
