MRSA Support Group

I was diaginosed a year ago and feel like this will never leave my body. Even though I only have small break outs from time to time these drain my energy and Im scared of loosing my job from calling off....... I had mrsa in my leg and in my nose and since I have no health insurance I have no way of treaking this.

sometimes i think i know more then the doctors. im lucky, because before treatment, i lived with it, because of my genes and my amune system. but when i was treated and the doctor ignored my complates, i almost died

when i get cuts and colds of fevors, it scares me today
i get more ildness and im able to fight it, but i feel its the mrsa. cuts and rashes. scares me the most today. i have night sweats and if i get colds, my amune system works hard to block mrsa. colds take longer to remove and i watch for cuts and . i seem to be strong now. to fight , think is mrsa, i have alot of night sweats, that i wake up each morning, completly wet, and many times change clothes during the night. during my treatment. i had many night sweats and i think because im not under doctors treatment, because of the treatment the doctor gave me. i'm able to fight back. and i think i fought back many years.

my sweats i get at night, im sleeping, and its not being hot, i wake up so wet, , that i change clothes. sometimes im so weak , that i cant wake to change clothes. my sweats, are cold. im not hot at all, i wake up fresing. duirng my mrsa treatment i had these, but because of the treatment i kept doing i got worse, since i dont take the treatment now i am fine, but my body works hard to fight the mrsa. im scared about the future


do you have this to , you wake up all wet, like you came out of a shower

I had 4 bouts with MRSA about 2 years ago. I was in the hospital 3 times for a total of 4 weeks in an 8 week period. The doctor says I'm a carrier. To complicate things, I developed eczema after the MRSA. Now, I have to worry about scratching because it might open the skin and let the MRSA back in. Check with your doctor or see a dermatologist about the rash. It might be eczema.

I was diaginosed sept.07, for months with fever,chills,night sweats,steal have night sweats,joint pain , i was never sick before but i can tell i am getting better i think in time we can all beat this.

I was told that MRSA is in everyones nose naturally. And so it oftern starts in the nose ( as happened in my Ex boyfriends case )not mine. It happens when you have a cut and the bacteria can get in, and then from there it gets in your blood.

redheadgal....MRSA is not in everyones nose and staph is not in everyones nose. The nose is a common place for staph to live and replicate in some people.

I got MRSA during spine surgery. I was luck because it was caught early and was cleaned out with another surgery. I was treated with a pic line and Vincamyison (sp) which I had the worst alergic reaction my face was so swollen I didn't even look like me, took 3 weeks after stopping for my body to get over the reaction. It is now 8 months later and it is not showing up in my blood but my SED rate (indication of infection somewhere) has stayed at 130, normal is 25. My Doc says it is smoldering away on my spinal hardware. It is causing my spine not to heal properly. I am told it can stay there for ever. It makes me very scared about catching a cold or anything. In the mean time I suffer horrible night sweats so bad I have to change several times a night. I wake up freezing but soaking wet. My sweat has a bad odor not like regular sweat, but fowl, does anyone else have that. I also have low grade fevers, and pain. I have some days I feel so sick, weak and tired all I can do is sleep. I have lost 40 pounds.

I had steriod injections and I was given an IV of antibiotics before they would give me the injection because of the MRSA. So I am with you Scared of when it might/will explode into a full blown infection again or having to have surgery again because my spine isn't healing.
