I need help with my dad...

So, my dad is getting over a serious case of MRSA, and it really attacked his brain.

While he's out of the hospital now, he seems so slow and has forgotten a good deal of things that happened before he got sick, and now has serious trouble remembering things that have happened since then.

And whatever part of the brain that stops people from saying really inappropriate things must have been damaged, because he says the most emberassing things at the worst times. (Like out in public...)

Has anyone else been through this? Will he get better? Start remembering things? Be back to the dad that I know?

Thanks for your help.
