I have been clean AGAIN for 9 days now after a 6 weeks binge after a 2 year clean after a 4 year useage. (did ya get that???) This last time I think was harder to recover from than the 4 years of daily usage. Is it because the "shit" is more potent now? I don't get it, I quit cold turkey without hesitation or problems after 4 years straight, but now after 6 weeks of usage I'm struggling with cravings more than anything!

" My understnading is with each time you go back to it the harder it is and the worse it is on your body bring you closer to death with each time you go back to it. Get support, AA or NA.
It has been proven it is the best rehab out there. Go to as many meetings as you can a day or a week. Your old friends come ou of the wood work when you are trying not to use.
And yes these AA and NA meetings have tons of people being forced to go by court order, focs on the one's that re tuely trying t change and after you get stronger you can hlp those that are being forced to go.
Stay strong and get support. Best wishes and I will pray for your strength. "

" Also...think about it..."If you go back and use you say to yourself...I am going to give in this one more time...I know I can quit, I've quit before..." Each time you do this...the drug is ruling stronger...NOT YOU...think about it...YOU HAVE TO SAY NO and be ruler over the evil drug...

Cigarettes are the same way...
Hang in there...and know that if you do fall, try again to quit...try and try again...Support and love and prayers are what we need...we are with you! "

" I think the cravings are really not the root of the problem its the breaking weak and using again and the availibility .You have got to break ties with the connections and throw the little black books away .You must make the conduit the enemy and hate the drug it self even if it means hurting someones feelings .Youve got to sever that life style and insist on keeping the doers dealers and dummies away.If you know you dont have access to the stuff then the majority of the cravings will deminish.Relapse starts in the head and thoughts.Deral "

" There is a limited amount of recoveries out there while there is an infinite amount of slips. You should also be using more in a short time, as if you had never stopped two years ago.

That is a speech by Father Martin in AA. It is two long for me to type it here. That is why old timers tend to die when they go back out. The longer the length of sobriety the more they use when they slip. "
