I am so close to relapsing

I am almost 10 months if not more sober and all of sudden I get these horrible cravings? Why now? I have gone through so much staying clean. Wonderful f'n meth gave me a going away present, chemical induced bi-polar. Thanks alot. I have fought so damn hard to stay sober, and everyone promised I would thank myself later and all I can do is wish I never got sober. At least when I was on drugs I felt something. I had energy to clean my house and energy to at least get dressed in the morning. I barely wake up each day, I havent been dressed in normal clothes in well... since sunday. Before that I dont know. I get up out of my bed and bring my blankets to my living room, feed my kids breakfest and I lay down untill I HAVE to get up. I cant hold a job, I am turning into a depressed freak. All I can think about is just getting high, one more time, Enough to let me get the things done I need done, and thats it. I know I would disspoint so many people. They would be devastated if I relapsed. But they dont understand the hell I live in. I really thought time would make me better. ITs not!

" Tarra when the cravings come do not entertain them focus your mind on something else thats positive even if you must read a book but dont let the thoughts control your actions because thats when compromize comes to mind and thats when we get weak.Your telling yourself that the only energy you can get is from using but thats a lie from the devil himself .Drink you a big ole strong cup of coffee and get after your project and when the energy runs out then kick back and do it again tomarrow and watch how your energy level progresses.Time will cure the blahhhs and hanging tuff will get you victory.Deral "

" We all walk our roads. We all go through our experiences. I have so many times quit meth, gone back, you know the cycle. I have started over only God know how many times from the ditch up. And this is the biggest (well one of them) lessons I have learned. This addiction is very evil and it will pop up on you when you least expect it. I know from experioence and I am speaking for myself. But are you ready? So the biggest thing I have learned is that IF you do RELAPSE DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP!! I know how hard it is the next morning watching the sun come up and shaking my head, saying what the *uck! God, then the evil depression comes and that is the hardest moment for me. It took alot of *uck ups for me to finally be able to talk myself out of that horrid funk the morning(s) after. It is so important you say to yourself, this is OK. It was a slip, I fell down, I WILL get back up and simply dust myself off and move on. I will not beat myself up. I am good I can do this. Relapses suck. It is up to you if you will let the relapse become a boulder to your recovery or use the relapse as a stepping stone to your success. :)

Hunny when you feel like relapsing is when you need to try different actions, do different things. I aint no saint and I sure as heck know that the craving will suddenly strike at the craziest time when you least expect it. Even after 2 yrs. Before this I had a 3 yr period of sobriety. We must always ALWAYS be on gaurd, we will be an addict for life. I need to learn how to live with that.

Stay strong sweet one. Reach out go to NA or AA get a sponser surround yourself by other people trying to conquer addiction. Reach out to others. Stay strong. "

" be suspicious of a bipolar type 2 diagnosis because it basically amounts to "ups and downs"...if you're diagnosed as bipolar type 1, and you're clean and sober, then there's more to support the diagnosis. i feel for all you people who didn't develop bad reactions to meth because the ONLY reason i quit meth was because it caused me severe panic attacks every time i used it. i hung onto the fact that maybe i could use it again without panic if enough time passed, but that's not true. to this day if i am exposed to weak stimulants (caffeine), i get anxiety. i am agoraphobic now and rarely get out of the house. of course the meth was not the cause...it only made things worse more quickly than they would have progressed naturally.
