This is just my story, so don't be offended, when coming off meth it mimic's bipolar, they thought i was bipolar too so i took lithium for about 2-3 months, I didn't like they way they felt so I took myself off them and not too long after that,my thought process was back to normal,You have to be off meth for a year to even know you are bipolar is the moral of that story, I think pdoc's diagnose ppl too fast. Just food for thought.

" For me it was the other way around...I was diagnosed first but I can see how they go hand in hand. I can only speak for myself, but I enjoy my mania. I get things done. And meth mimicked mania. I always want to be "up". Red bull, caffeine, diet pills, cocaine..I do it all, just to stay on top. Maybe some pdoc's are quick to diagnose, but I think we should be smart enough to know ourselves and how our bodies work. And we can only achieve that with continuing therapy and support.. "

" I sometimes wonder the same, but I have been on meds for so long I would have to be in a hospital to detox off of them. Thats something I am going to do this summer. I have to wait untill then because I have school. I guess if I have it ok- but if I don't please get me off of these drugs! "
