Meth Addiction & Recovery Support Group

I've known people who can get right off the stuff and others who cant. Why do some people eat too much? Why do some people smoke? Why do some people get addicted to porn?
I guess it's up to you. I dont know maybe someone else does.

It's the euphoric feeling you get and it makes you forget about "life" and just care about the drug. Pretty much it overtakes your life.

I found it so difficult to get off b/c in the months following my new sobriety, i gained a shit-ton of weight, I had no energy, and I was really depressed b/c of all the dopamine that had been depleted through meth use. I gave up on the euphoria b/c my tolerance was so high that i stopped getting that strong euphoria. Also, i didn't have anything in common with my dope using friends and I was having a hard time finding new friends b/c I was pretty weird in my post-meth days.


Meth withdrawal and the shitty after effects last so long that ppl don't realize that it does get better. After 3 mnths of sobriety I was starting to feel happier. After 1 yr I was almost back to my old healthy happy self. It just gets better with time. Most meth-addicts don't have any patience. I was there once. I tried to quit many times before I succeeded.

Becasue when the high washes over you, all the shit in your life goes away and you float and don't feel anything. It's a very hard drug to escape, I've been clean for over a year and I still get crazy jonesing, sometimes for 2 days. It's a mental and physical addiction. The mental part is harder to break from than the physical. If you hvaen't done it, don't by the way, you won't be able to fully understand.

Probably that uephoric high we get.
