Okay today is different than any other day. This is my 2nd year in a row that I have been clean. I don't know how to celebrate so I am at home. Before when I was using, new years was like a meth buffet and I am getting flashbacks. Also my veins are so popped out and so I am trying to hide my arms from my eyes. I just had to share this so these flashbacks and temptations loose their power. If anyone is expierencing urges/flashbacks/triggers post it and get it out so that it looses power. I am going to now find something constructive to do and let those thoughts pass.

hun, I understand we always would spend new years with a pipe in our hands with as much dope as we could do. I had the same flashbacks. I even called someone but luckily they couldn't get it. I was upset at the time. Now, I am so glad that I made it through without anything. You can do it. Keep up the good work!!!!!

im glad you posted this. today i was searching through my house like a madwoman for my phone. i started furiously digging through my purse and felt 'it' for a split second. i used to get all out of breath and rummage and run around when high. it freaked me out that i had this happen today.. but this is a little empowering to talk about it. anytime im going fast throughout the busy days i feel those flashbacks, weird right?

I can totally relate, certain places, certain smells, tastes bring back the "itch". Sometimes I just want to give up because it is such a struggle day to day, not just with addiction, but with depression. That was the best escape I ever had.
