I am a 34 year old woman living in Texas and I am looking for some kind of support for Mental Retardation. I hold down a job but I am a loner and I really do not have any so called friends because I am so different. I am looking for a place to belong. Any help would be wonderful.

Hi Mary,
I am the sister of a 28 year old girl with cerebral palsy who I help take care of. She is not near on your level but I want to congratulate you for what you have accomplished. I know it can be hard out there and people shy away or make fun, but if they do that then they're not worth it. Just be strong and hopefully you will find the support you need. I am here to talk if you need to.
