I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Lori. I live in Wisconsin and joined Daily Strength to get involved in a support group such as this one. I am a resident living support staff at an assisted living home for mentally/physicially disabled /challenged individuals. I love my job, actually don't think of it as one though. I truly love, respect and honor the individuals I serve. I hope to make friends with workers, parents, family members, etc. to give and gain support! Love and smile to you all, Lori

" Welcome!! I am so glad to meet you!! I work in a group home with 6 individuals. I absolutely love my work. I also absolutely love and highly respect the individuals I serve...I consider myself an advocate for the mentally retarded, trying to break the stigma in the community that ppl have with the mentally retarded. I have learned so so much about these individuals...they are just like me and you and should be treated as such...they have feelings, rights and deserve the best care possible. Love and hugs, Lori "
